Life in the Forest 

The Brahmin advised to call the sun god so they did. For 12 years the Pandavas lived in the woods with their wives. Surya gave them a pot with food. 

The Cattle Raid 

After hearing that Kickaka was dead there was a plot to attack the city of Virata to capture Raj. On the last day of the thirteenth year the pandavas raided the north with many cattle. They had a successful raid and seized Rajah and forced him to return to his own city. The Kauravas had advanced from south with Rajahs son Virata. 

Preparations for War 

There was a wedding with lots of song and dance as guests were departing from Virata. Balarama then spoke and said you have heard the words of my brother the Kauravas have wronged the Pandavas. He did not advise war. It was decided if Duryodanha was willing to give up the kingdom of Yudhisthira there would be peace but if not there would be war. The messenger was then sent to deliver the message.

Week 2 Story

Next to them was a beautiful lake with a very cunning crane. The crane loves to eat fish and saw an opportunity to take advantage of the fish struggling in their pond. The Crane flew over to the fish and enticed the fish by telling them about this beautiful lake next to them with a plentiful amount of water. Soon, all the fish in the lake were gathered around the Crane while he went on and on about the lake he lives in with lots of water.
