Epified: Krishna: Part B Reading Notes

Krishna rides Hastin 

Krishnas older brother Balram told everyone he wanted to be strong enough to kill the ferocious bull Hastin. Hastin was the biggest and strongest bull in Vridavan. Krishna vowed to ride this bull but no one believed him. Krishna visited the cowshed every-night playing the flute. Krishna leapt onto Hastin and he rode him all around the village. The villagers realized the lesson of kidness Krishna had taugh them. 

The Saviour of Dharma

Krishna told Yashodha that he wanted to marry Radha but Yashodha refused. Krishna had to talk to the priest of the Yadus as the priest told him this was not his destiny. He found he was the savior of Dharma and even heard his parents weren't his parents. This all made him sad and he couldn't marry Radha. 

Akrur Invites Krishna 

Krishna had escaped all attempts at killing him. Kans decided to play one final trick and sent Akrur to talk to him. When he talked to Krishna he could tell from his appearance he looked divine. While Akrur was inviting him he revealed the true intention was so Kans could kill him. Nanda and Yashodha became fearful but Krishna was not scared. 

Krishnas farewell

They again tried to make Krishna not go. Krishna said this is a duty he must do this in his life. Everyone watched Krishna leave. 

Krishna Arrives at Mathura 

They arrived in Mathura. Krishna was very nice and talked to many people. Word of his kindness spread and many people gathered to see him. One was a woman named Trivakara who had many problems. Trivakara realized this was Vasudevs son and this was her healer. Krishna took her and hugged her and all of her problems were fixed. Krishnas fame spread and it had reached his uncle too Kans. 

Krishna Kills Kuvalayapida

Kans knew his life was in Krishnas hands. In Kans last attempt he sent the elephant Kuvalayapida think Khrisna would have no chance but when the elephant attacked Krishna, Krishna made the elephant fall with a single blow. Everyone celebrated and Kans shook in fear. 

Krishna Kills Kamsa

Everyone was cheering after the elephant had been killed and then many wrestlers attacked Krishna and Balram but they again defeated the wrestlers with ease. Then Krishna had the challenge had to rise the Divine bow which he lifted effortlessly. Kans ordered his army to kill Krishna which they again killed. Kans tried to flee but Krishna and Kans fought and Kans took his last breath. Everyone cheered because Krishna had freed Mathura from the evil Kans.
