Reading Notes: Week 12

Chapter 5 - Diagon Alley 

Harry realizes it was not a dream and Hagrid and Harry go to get school supplies. They go to Gringotts bank where Hagrid takes Harry to his vault where he discovers his parents left him lots of money. They also go to vault 713 where Hagrid grabs something which he tells Harry is "official Hogwarts business" and Harry doesn't ask any questions. Then in Diagon Alley with Harry gets a robe. He also meets a stuck up boy named Malfoy that makes Harry worry he won't be a good wizzard. Finally he gets a wand where the wand picks the wizard and the only other person to have the wand Harry got was Voldemort. 

Chapter 6 - The Journey from Platform Nine and Three Quarters 

Harry has to stay with Dursleys for one more month but finally it was time and the Mr. Dursley took Harry to the train station where Harry was to find Train 9 3/4. He can't find this train until he over hears a family with red hair talk about it. He talks to them and figures out how to get there by running into a column. On the train Harry meets the Weasleys including Ron Weasley who is the youngest of 5 brothers and Ron and Harry hit it off. They also meet Hermonie Granger who seems to be a know it all. 

Chapter 7 - The Sorting Hat 

Professor McGonagall introduces them to Hogwarts and takes them to the kitchen where the sorting hat will choose their house for them. There are 4 houses Gryffindor, Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw, and Slyherin. Harry is placed in Gryffindor along with Hermonie and Ron. Draco Malfoy is in Slytherin. There is so much food on the table when it is time to eat. Harry meets the headless ghost of Gryffindor. During dinner Harry sees a lot of the teachers talking and when he stares at one specifically, Professor Snape his scar started hurting. Albus Dumbeldore, the headmaster makes his welcome speech and they go off to bed. 

Chapter 8 - The Potions Master

Life is weird at Hogwarts at first for Harry because everyone talks about him. He loved his classes. During breakfast Harrys owl Hedwig delivers mail and its a letter from Hagrid. In potions class with Snape he makes a big deal about Harry being in class. When going to Hagrids Harry complains about Proffesor Snape. While at Hagrids he sees a news article about break in at Gringotts at the vault Harry and Hagrid were at.

Week 2 Story

Next to them was a beautiful lake with a very cunning crane. The crane loves to eat fish and saw an opportunity to take advantage of the fish struggling in their pond. The Crane flew over to the fish and enticed the fish by telling them about this beautiful lake next to them with a plentiful amount of water. Soon, all the fish in the lake were gathered around the Crane while he went on and on about the lake he lives in with lots of water. The fish were all thrilled to hear this but also very suspicious of the crane because they knew that cranes feast on fish. They asked many questions but the crane was quite convincing.
